Covenant to Perform Sunday, July 31

Covenant, of Staunton, VA, will be peforming this Sunday, July 31 at the Summer Concert Series. Weather permitting the concert will be held on the lawn in front of church beginning at 5:00pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, and feel free to pack a picnic dinner. Drinks will be provided. Join us this Sunday as we praise God and his many gifts with Covenant.

Jessica Crawford Performs Sunday, July 17

The 2011 Summer Concert Series continues this Sunday, July 17, as Jessica Crawford joins us to for a concert. Jessica has joined us at First Church many times in the past and performed at several of our church events. Feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to relax and listen to great Christian music. If you would like to pack a picnic dinner to bring, that is fine too! Light snacks and drinks will be provided. Join us this Sunday as we kick off another great summer of live music on the front lawn! The fun starts at 5:00!

5@5 Summer Concert Series

The FCOB 5@5 group is proud to announce the beginning of the 2010 5@5 Summer Concert Series. The Concerts will begin July 18 and last through the beginning of August. Depending on the band and the weather, the concerts may be outside or inside, so continue to watch the blog for more details. The concerts will take place on Sunday evenings, beginning at 5:00 at First Church of the Brethren on Dogwood Drive in Harrisonburg. These concerts are free! So mark you calendars now to check out a different band every Sunday evening this Summer!

Acts are being booked now. So far, here is what is the tentative schedule.

July 18-Jessica Crawford

• Jessica Crawford is a local, Christian singer who writes her own music. She also sings and plays the guitar. She just released her first album titled "Shine". You can check out her website at http://www.jessicacrawfordmusic.com/

July 25-Broken Pieces

• Broken Pieces is a Christan rock band from Bridgewater, VA. The band began performing together in 2006 and released its first CD titled "Broken Pieces" in 2009. Check out the bands website for more information and a biography of the band and its members. http://brokenpiecesband.com/

Aug 1-Covenant

• Covenant is a Christian rock band from Virginia. They have toured throughout Virginia since the fall of 2005. They have released one album "Going for the One" that features ten of the bands original songs. Check our their website at http://www.covenantband.net/ for more info.

Aug. 8-Serving1

• Serving1 is a Christian rock band that is based in Manassas, Virginia. They have toured throughout the Mid-Atlantic region sharing their music with a variety of ages. Serving1 released a self titled debut album in 2009. Check our their website at http://www.serving1.com for more info.
